EXTRAORDINARY BUSINESS ACHIEVEMENT
AWARD FROM MARKHAM BOARD OF TRADE
MARKHAM, ON., February, 1995 ---
Keating Technologies Inc., a Markham, Ontario-based manufacturers representative,
was the 1995 recipient of the Extraordinary Business Achievement Award from the Markham
Board of Trade.
The award was presented to Keating
Technologies in recognition of exceptional business accomplishments in a range of
corporate areas such as contribution to employee enrichment and employee relations,
excellence in community relations, demonstrated fiscal responsibility, and international
impact. The sponsor of the Extraordinary Business Achievement Award was Ford Electronics
Manufacturing of Canada who presented the Award to President and Founder of Keating
Technologies, Larry Keating.
Nominations for the award must come from a
member of the Board of Trade, and are selected from among 6,000 companies and 400 head
offices in Markham. The selection committee evaluates and visits all nominated companies
throughout the summer before making a decision in the late fall.
As a service organization, our
strength is established by the quality and dedication of our employees. To support our
team, and therefore our business, we have developed a solid corporate infrastructure and a
comprehensive business strategy. stated Mr. Keating. These attributes have
enabled Keating Technologies to achieve our goals of responsiveness, business excellence,

The Markham Board of Trade nomination
put Keating Technologies in competition with a host of excellent international
corporations such as IBM Canada, ATI Technologies, Timex Canada, and Allstate Insurance.
We are very excited to have been named the winner, added Bill Keating, Vice
President of Technical and Operations at Keating Technologies. We realize our
success is due to our two primary resources; excellent employees and industry-leading high
technology manufacturers.
In the past two years, Keating Technologies
has opened branches in Vancouver and Montreal, has doubled the number of employees to over
50, and is now responsible for more than $100 million in sales of technology products.
Additionally, Keating Technologies is acknowledged as being one of the most innovative
business service models in the North American Computer industry.

Along with Keating Technologies, four other
Markham companies were honoured for excellence at the Gala Dinner for the Boards
Annual Business Achievement Awards Program. Over 300 Markham business leaders attended the
black tie event. The four remaining Business Achievement Awards were presented for
Community Relations and Cultural Enrichment; Entrepreneurship and Innovation; High
Standards and Working Conditions; and International Trade.
