PRACTICAL PERIPHERALS APPOINTS KEATING TECHNOLOGIES
EXCLUSIVE CANADIAN REPRESENTATIVE

MARKHAM, Ontario, - August 1, 1991 -- Keating Technologies Inc., a Markham based manufacturers' representing firm for American high technology companies, announced today their appointment as the exclusive Canadian representative for Practical Peripherals, Inc., of Westlake Village, California.

Practical Peripherals, a privately owned company incorporated in 1981 and bought by Hayes Microcomputer Products in 1989, manufacturers and markets enhancement products for IBM, IBM compatibles, Apple, Apple Macintosh, and other computers. Their product line consists of internal and external modems, printer buffers, and peripheral sharing devices. The external modem line includes the industry leading Practical Pocket Modem, the PM9600SA V.32/V.42bis, PM2400SA V.42bis, PM2400SA, PM1200SA MINI, Mac Smart Pack 9600, and the Mac Smart Pack 2400. Internal modems include the PM9600 V.42bis, PM2400FX96, PM2400 V.42bis, PM2400, PM2400 PS/2 and the PM1200.

Keating Technologies is a five year old manufacturers' representative specializing in microcomputer connectivity and information management products. Keating Technologies will be providing full sales and marketing support, product education and factory-trained technical support services for the complete line of Practical Peripherals products.

Services outlined in the agreement between Practical Peripherals and Keating Technologies include Canada wide toll-free sales and technical support, expanded trade show and marketing activities, and a Practical Peripherals Breakfast Seminar Series for Corporate End-Users and Resellers of Practical Peripherals' products.
