For Immediate Release Keating Technologies appoints Julia Carrescia
Vice President of Business Development
Markham, ON, July 7, 1999
-- Keating Technologies has taken its highly successful branch outsourcing initiative to
new levels with the appointment of Julia Carrescia to the position of vice president of
business development. Ms. Carrescia will join Keatings executive team in supporting
the demand for its unique brand of branch outsourcing including sales, marketing and
customer services. Her primary responsibilities will be to establish strategic direction
to maximize new client growth, and further develop programs that will offer continued
success to the current client base.
According to Larry Keating, president and
chief executive officer of Keating Technologies, "As our company has grown in both
size and scope of services, we have developed a Total Market Management approach to
outsourcing. Julias 20 years of experience in the Canadian high technology industry
will be an extremely valuable asset to our customers here in Canada and our clients
abroad. She will be instrumental in helping us deliver superior quality service."
"For the past 12 years, Keating has
been a phenomenal Canadian success story," says Ms. Carrescia. "During that
time, Larry has put together an incredibly talented management team with a wealth of
experience in technology. Im delighted to be a part of a dynamic team that is
focused on expanding and diversifying its branch outsourcing initiatives into a broader
market base. The possibilities for these kinds of services are extraordinary."
Prior to joining Keating, Ms. Carrescia
spent 12 years with Toshiba of Canada Limited, where she was most recently divisional
vice-president of marketing for the Information Systems Group. Before that she held
management positions with Zenith Data Systems, as well as with mini and mainframe computer
divisions of various financial institutions.
Unlike traditional rep firms, Keating has
developed a business model that focuses on branch outsourcing for companies wanting to
enter into or expand in the Canadian marketplace. It is a proven model that Keating uses
to ensure the ongoing success in Canada of such well known companies as 3Com, and past
clients Creative Labs and Logitech.
The formula has definitely made its mark.
Keating reports that the company has grown from a one-man operation to more than 100, and
expects revenues to double within the next two years. "Were still growing at a
phenomenal rate," says Keating. "At the same time, we want to ensure that it is
quality growth in terms of the clients we acquire, the services we provide on their
behalf, and what we can bring to the Canadian marketplace. Thats where talented
people like Julia can play a key role."
