Employment : Marketing Coordinator, Branded Product Division

As Marketing Co-ordinator you will be a creative, high energy individual seeking a diverse marketing coordination role within a high tech company.

Reporting directly to the VP of Sales and Marketing, the Marketing Co-ordinator is the "go to" person responsible for overseeing and executing the company?s marketing activities for their branded product division including:

  • Writing marketing/ promotional content for new product launches, brochures and other marketing and sales collateral
  • Producing division newsletter and maintaining distribution lists
  • Developing and executing email marketing campaigns
  • Managing the company's websites
  • Providing required support to the Sales and Marketing team (e.g. travel arrangements and administrative support)  

The ideal candidate will possess a post-secondary diploma/degree in business, marketing or equivalent experience with exposure to high-tech products and services.

 

Key Responsibilities:  

Marketing Activities  

  • Assist the VP of Sales and Marketing with marketing communications projects including email marketing, advertising and PR.
  • Develop and manage communications for new product launches, advertisements, product brochures and product bulletins. Interface with outside marketing companies and graphic artists.
  • Research, write and maintain corporate marketing collateral including brochures, customer case studies, white papers, presentations, and website content.
  • Prepare newsletters, press releases, web presentations, and e-campaigns for distributors, clients and prospects and maintain distribution lists.
  • Develop and implement lead generation and awareness programs through active direct and email marketing campaigns and events.
  • Develop niche marketing (viral, blog, . . .) and cross product strategies.
  • Manage project plans and deliverables including client, internal (creative and copy), and third party/freelancer resources.
  • Maintain direct mail/email programs which consist of client database, content material and follow up material.
  • Collect, develop, manage and maintain content on corporate websites.
  • Maintain an understanding of corporate and product marketing messages.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Sales, Finance, and Customer Care Services.
  • Oversee negotiation and contract with outside vendors for various services.

Public Relations  

  • Draft company press releases and media kit materials.
  • Coordinate press releases and related activities.
  • Coordinate contributions into trade magazines, newspapers, TV news, etc.
  • Promote the company through ongoing contact with industry analysts.
  • Create opportunities for coverage in trade magazines.  

Reporting and Analysis  

  • Develop monthly reports on marketing program results.
  • Research and analyze relevant data such as product trends and competitive data, consumer marketing trends and marketplace to provide recommendations for marketing opportunities.
  • Provide regular analysis on Web traffic.
  • Create, edit and maintain PowerPoint Presentations.  

Administrative Support

  • Develop and coordinate all activities related to company's participation in trade shows, seminars and events, including attending events and managing event details. Occasionally assist in shows in support of sales efforts.
  • Other marketing/administrative duties as assigned.  

Qualifications:  

  • Strong marketing and business skills
  • 1-2 years of experience in marketing and/or email marketing campaigns
  • Ability to bring innovation and creativity to advertising and marketing initiatives
  • Strong understanding of internet trends and new media
  • Solid understanding of the B2B market space is an asset
  • Previous experience working in a technology focused industry
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills in English are essential to this position
  • Graduate diploma/degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven relationship management skills across all levels
  • Demonstrates initiative, drive and teamwork skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong project management skills to meet deadlines
  • Strong decision making skills with an ability to troubleshoot problems and manage issues to resolution
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Design and graphics knowledge a plus
  • Fluency in French is an asset  


Compensation:

Competitive base salary based on experience.
