Keating Technologies Receives Fluke Networks Sales Achievement Award

On February 26th to 28th, 2018 Keating Technologies attended Mach ’18 – the Fluke Networks 2018 Sales Kickoff event in Seattle and Everett, Washington. This was a worldwide event with attendees from North America, Central and South America, Europe and Asia.

During the Monday night Sales Awards Reception and Banquet, Keating Technologies received the Fluke Networks Sales Achievement Award for Canada in 2017.

The rest of the event included a Versiv hands on training session, presentations from Fluke Networks executives and a factory tour at the corporate headquarters in Everett.

The event ended with a dinner at the Museum of Flight where the photo below was taken with the entire group.

Keating Technologies Awarded Employer of the Year for York Region District School Board’s Cooperative Education Program

Markville Secondary School has awarded Keating Technologies Employer of the Year in recognition of Keating’s contributions to the students in the Cooperative Education Program. This program integrates classroom learning with the workplace environment that best match each student’s field of interest. Completing this program provide students with credits towards their high school diploma.

Keating has partnered with the York Region District School Board for the past six years in this program to give students the opportunity to utilize their classroom knowledge in a workplace environment and gain valuable practical experience. Primarily focused in the accounting and finance departments at Keating, the program has been led by Keating’s Vice President of Finance and Administration, James A. Woolley.

Lieutenant Governor recognizes Keating Technologies CEO Larry Keating with Community Service Award

Larry Keating, president and CEO of Keating Technologies, was awarded the Lieutenant Governor’s Community Volunteer Award on September 18th. The award was presented by His Honour David C. Onley, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, in recognition of Larry’s long time contributions to Ontarians through his volunteer work and charitable efforts, especially concerning aboriginal computer literacy.

The award was established in 1998 by the Honourable Hilary M. Weston to recognize Ontario volunteers for their outstanding contributions to their communities. The award honours volunteers who serve as the backbone of not-for-profit organizations and who have a direct impact on the people their organizations serve. “Larry continues to give generously of his time and expertise to improve the opportunity for all Ontarians to achieve,” said His Honour, “and for that I thought he should be recognized.”

In addition to being the founder, president and CEO of Keating Technologies since 1987, and NPC since 2008, Larry has served as advisor to the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario for the Aboriginal Computer Literacy Program and has been recognized as an Ambassador for Privacy by Design by the Information & Privacy Commissioner of Ontario.

Larry is active on a number of boards and committees, past chairman of the board of Vanity Software Corp, advisory member of the Seneca College Campaign Cabinet, the Markham-Stouffville Hospital Foundation, and past vice chair of the Premier’s Technology Dinner. Larry Keating was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. Presented by His Honour David C. Onley, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, to Larry at a gala event at Roy Thompson Hall, Larry was cited for “his work as a pioneer in computer innovation, for working on projects in the public interest, and for his support of numerous charitable organizations.”

The medal, created to honour the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s accession to the throne, honours Canadians who have made significant contributions and achievements to the country.

In addition to founding Keating Technologies in 1987 that still operates today, and No Panic Computing in 2008, Larry currently serves as a technical advisor to the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario for the Aboriginal Computer Literacy Program and has been recognized as an Ambassador for Privacy by Design by the Information & Privacy Commissioner of Ontario.
