Fluke Networks has introduced the LinkIQâ„¢ Duo Cable+WiFi+Network Tester, combining reliable cable qualification with Wi-Fi 6E network testing and analysis in a single, user-friendly device. This integration addresses the growing need for efficient tools as Wi-Fi 6E adoption accelerates, with an estimated 5.2 million access points expected to ship in 2024, up from 1.5 million in 2022.
The LinkIQ Duo enables technicians to validate each connection link between the Wi-Fi user and the network, ensuring optimal performance by:
- – Qualifying cabling performance up to 10 Gb/s between the network and access points.
- – Validating switch connectivity and maximum data rates.
- – Assessing available Power over Ethernet (PoE) for device requirements.
- – Verifying connectivity to essential assets like Wi-Fi controllers.
- – Evaluating access point configurations and their operating environments.
Additionally, the tester identifies common configuration errors, such as illegal or non-recommended channel usage, overlapping access points, and weak security settings.
Mark Mullins, product marketing manager and founding member of Fluke Networks, stated, “LinkIQ combines the testing they need into one affordable package that is simple to use and understand, ensuring each link of the connection between the Wi-Fi user and the network works properly for maximum performance.”
