New Products from NetAlly: LinkRunner AT 3000 & 4000 Network & Cable Testers

LinkRunner AT 3000

The LinkRunner AT 3000 is designed for frontline technicians who need fast and comprehensive validation of copper and fiber network links with powerful network connectivity troubleshooting. While offering the same core functions of its predecessors (the LinkRunner AT 1000 and 2000 models), the LRAT-3000 features a large touchscreen and in-depth AutoTest that provides deeper network visibility.

With tools designed to help with network changes and troubleshooting, this network tester’s quick cable test and switch identification functionality facilitates installation validation and fast problem isolation.

Test results can be automatically uploaded to the Link-Live collaboration, reporting, and analysis platform to improve teamwork between network engineers and technicians, creating greater job visibility, better project control, and improved tester fleet management. Independent management plane via wired or Wi-Fi connection (with optional adapter) allows remote operation and result uploading independent of the network under test.

LinkRunner AT 4000

The LinkRunner AT 4000 is an advanced cable and network tester for Multigigabit NBASE-T and fiber Ethernet networks, including comprehensive network discovery and topology mapping with advanced diagnostics and problem detection for in-depth troubleshooting.

Using network discovery and layer 2 and 3 path analysis, the LinkRunner AT 4000 offers comprehensive network visibility to help resolve issues impacting multiple devices (not just a single link) while still providing the automated tests for moves/adds/changes validation and troubleshooting that the LinkRunner AT family of test solutions is known for.

Test results can be automatically uploaded to the Link-Live collaboration, reporting, and analysis platform to improve teamwork between network engineers and technicians, creating greater job visibility, better project control, and improved tester fleet management. NetAlly Updates AirMagnet Survey PRO for More Efficient Network Designs

NetAlly’s AirMagnet Survey PRO has just been enhanced with some great new features made to help improve Wi-Fi network design and planning efficiency!

So, what’s new?

AirMapper Support Improvements
This release improves support for AirMapper projects downloaded from Link-Live. Instead of having to manually import each AirMapper file into AirMagnet Survey PRO and then merging them into a single project, you will now be given the option to upload all the files to Link-Live, merge them, and then download the merged project directly into AirMagnet Survey PRO.

Periodic AutoSave in the Multi-Floor Planner
Nobody likes the idea of losing data after spending hours putting together the perfect Wi-Fi network design, so (by popular demand) they have added an AutoSave option to the Multi-Floor Planner.

Keyboard Shortcut to Refresh Heatmaps in the Multi-Floor Planner
Designing a Wi-Fi network with the Multi-Floor Planner will now be more efficient! Instead of having to move your mouse over the “Refresh” button and clicking, you will now be able to press the F5 key on your keyboard to generate or re-generate a predictive heatmap.

Quickly Zoom with Your Mouse in the Multi-Floor Planner
For more efficient Wi-Fi network designs and to make things even easier for you, they have added an option to Zoom In/Out with the mouse scroll wheel in the Multi-Floor Planner.

New Antenna Patterns
Need access to the latest Wi-Fi 6E antenna patterns? You got them! This release introduces a lot of new antenna patterns, too.

NetAlly Releases Private Edition of Link-Live™ Collaboration, Reporting and Analysis Platform

On-premise/private cloud deployment for NetAlly’s Link-Live service provides same functionality for organizations with “no cloud” policies.

Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA – July 26, 2022 – NetAlly today announced the availability of a containerized version of their Link-Live cloud service, for licensed on-premise server or private cloud installation. Until now, organizations with “no cloud” policies were unable to take full advantage of the many capabilities in Link-Live.

Serving as a centralized site survey, test results, analysis, and tester management system, Link-Live transforms team workflows with the ability to quickly and easily log, document, and report test activity from all NetAlly hand-held network testers and analyzers.

“Link-Live has evolved from a basic repository and reporting engine for test results from our instruments to an in-depth network analysis and management platform,” says James Kahkoska, NetAlly CTO. “Over time,” Kahkoska adds,“the addition of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth site surveys, network topology mapping, in-depth analysis, and real-time collaboration tools has made Link-Live a key part of our customers’ network management arsenal, but one that could not be used by public cloud-averse organizations.”

Link-Live Private is available as downloadable software with an accompanying annual subscription. Utilizing Docker Compose, it is easily installed on Linux-based servers, and is has no limitation in terms of number of users, test results, or reports for NetAlly’s LinkRunner® 10G, AirCheck™ G2, and EtherScope® nXG instruments.

Once the instrument is connected to the Link-Live server, test results are automatically uploaded to the dashboard for project management, analysis, collaboration and reporting. Users also have the option of uploading additional files, screenshots, images, profiles, packet captures, location information, and comments.

An upgrade for the wired and wireless EtherScope® nXG network analyzer provides full visibility of Wi-Fi 6 across all three 802.11 bands.
