USRobotics’ Personal Communications Divison appoints Keating Technologies exclusive Canadian representative

Multimillion dollar agreement signed to provide sales, marketing and service programs to Canadian customer base.

Keating Technologies Inc. of Markham, Ontario announced it has signed an exclusive agreement with USRobotics, Inc., a leading manufacturer of information access systems and products. Keating Technologies will be the Canadian Manufacturers’ Representative for USRobotics’ Personal Communications Division products.

The agreement between USRobotics and Keating Technologies encompasses all Personal Communications Division products including the Sportster, Mac & Fax and Worldport lines of PCMCIA and desk-top high-speed modems. Additionally, Keating will represent the Courier line of desktop and PCMCIA modems.

Keating Technologies is the leading Canadian manufacturers’ representative to the microcomputer industry. The multimillion dollar contract between the two companies will support USRobotics’ Personal Communications Division’s Canadian market growth objectives.

Keating Technologies will increase USRobotics’ Canadian presence and create new opportunities by implementing integrated sales, marketing, and technical support programs that support the reseller, corporate, government and education markets. The additional layer of customer-oriented programs that Keating Technologies will deliver through it’s offices in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver, will further establish USRobotics’ leadership position in the Canadian modem market.
